The first death from corona virus on board the USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier

On Monday, the United States reported its first death from the Coronavirus, among soldiers working on the USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier.

A statement issued by the US Navy stated that one of the injured soldiers was transferred to the Guam Island intensive care unit on March 30, and that he had not responded to treatment since April 9, without mentioning the name and rank of the soldier.

On the other hand, the number of casualties among the soldiers working on the aforementioned aircraft carrier increased to 550 cases.

It is noteworthy that the US authorities placed the aircraft carrier in quarantine, after monitoring the first injury among its staff during its visit to the island of "Guam" (West Pacific) on 27 March last.

Earlier Monday, the United States announced the registration of 1,508 new deaths from the Corona virus, bringing the total to 22,116 cases.
